Designing life? Creating life? I’m no artist … (Part One: Contrast)

Oh, but you are an artist. You just might not be very good at it

If your life was a painting, would it be a barely coherent blur of tons of colors mixed together in such an abstract fashion that when you take a step back to look at it and find yourself wondering “what in the hell am I even doing?” This has been something on my mind for quite some time.  Our lives become so deep, convoluted, and complicated, that we often times fail to apply even the most basic of design principles to our lives.

You are a designer, a creator, and arguably, an artist that is creating life. I’m going to impart some of the most basic design principles to point out how we almost always overlook them, and discuss how it could have dramatic implications for your life, and your newest project; living!

Time - Shadows in the River of Light

What will you do tomorrow? How will it be affected by what you did yesterday? Does it matter?

There is nothing i can do about that, it happened, and now it’s over. The best thing i can do is just move on … forget about it.

What i’m about to describe is the dynamic between events suspended in our past, or projected into our future, and our understanding of these events as we swim through the medium of time in a moment known as now.  Consult the image below, and then decide whether or not you’d like to ride in the raft i’m providing you here, for a few moments, in this grand river.

Written Exile & A New Intention

A story less known in the circle of loved ones is the fact that i used to be a very prolific story-teller. Not in the way that is immediately conjured in the mind’s eye though: Everyone gathered around a fine cup of beer / wine / liquor, the hands flailing, the story captivating, embelishments and augmentations (possibly even a few appendums) to add to the excitement of the night.

Although that is fun, and something i have never shied away from … today i speak of a different type of storytelling. Written.

Ripe (with decay) - Hypocrisy

I recent conversation at a favorite watering hole of mine led to the spewing of a topic that is close to my heart. Something that i’ve given much thought to. A topic that has become so ripe, that if it is not eaten soon … it will begin to decay.

Hypocrisy - The outcast, the dreaded, the worthless hypocrite

I’ve thought long and hard with this topic. Many times i’ve been forced to pick up the spear, mount the horse, and spur my way down the muddy gauntlet to match ends with this dreaded adversary. But as i charge, and the crowd roars with ecstasy, writhing in bloodlust, i know full well i’m about to smash into myself. It is only during the aftermath of this confrontation, when the energy settles - that light can once again emanate from within.

Secrets.

Societies across this globe, their management structures, and the world stage are unmistakeably interwoven and incredibly complex. I don’t think anyone would deny or contest that. There are certain tools/methods that have been used for thousands of years that remain largely unchanged. I want to talk about one of these tools/methods: Secrecy

Advantages, elements, and the temporal degradation of effectiveness

The primary methods/techniques of implementing secrecy are generally regarded as negative: lies, deception, misdirection, disguise, concealment, et cetera. Even though, for the most part, these methods carry a negative connotation with most people, the perception and motivations behind these actions usually indicate the opposite.

A ‘God’ Perspective … solving the problem?

When searching through the various meanings and belief structures that surround the God Idea something very basic and fundamental started to appear to me. Even when i was a young child, while i was being indoctrinated by the christian faith, i made simple observations that did not have clear cut answers. As i grew beyond the shell of Christianity one of those observations kept coming up.

Solving the God problem.

“how could this happen if God is all knowing good and loving …”It seemed people had an extremely difficult time understanding how anything ‘bad’ could happen with this omni(potent/present/scient) being proceeding over everything. The Idea of polarity/duality/conflict was then personified as the adversary/devil/lucifer/satan. The problem begged a simple question:

“why do you think God isall good/love and only capable of such? If God is infinitely all encompassing, wouldn’t that include the bad?”

Maybe the answer has been before us all along, and it is only in the interpretation of what God is, that a ‘closer to truth’ meaning was lost, or hidden away from so many for so long…

God perceives/experiences/understands all as good through love/energy[light]

Nicotine: An Idea (King) Struggling for Survival

We’ve seen it happen … Many of us have even done it.Your best friend looks at you and has already given you the visual cues that it’s time. The motions are in place, your friend knows, that you know, but still looks at you and says “I need a smoke …”We’ve all seen it happen … The monstrous / king of an Idea strikes with its whims, and flaunts as all powerful - in a highly deceptive and ingenious way. What many do not see, is that this situation represents an incredibly important and far reaching concept. In addition; this Idea King is dying, constantly under attack, and it knows it.

A Line Through Concepts of Oneness and Enternity

Greetings.

This morning, on my way to mechanical monotonous perpetuation of social needs (money), a line of thinking was inspired within me. It was one of those lucid moments where when you look at the situation there was nothing really “inspiring” going on [in the common understanding]. I was driving, tired, caffine infused, it was pouring rain, my neck hurt extremely bad, and i had completely forgotten to change clothes from yesterday.

Then these thoughts moved through me, and i spent a few moments in my head organizing and following them:

One of my friends said to me a few weeks ago: “What if when you reincarnate, you don’t necessarily reincarnate in what we would think of as the future, but say, in the 1400’s?”
